Ability to disable the cprapid.com sub-domain on install
cPanel has introduced a few "feature" that modifies the server's hostname to a sub-domain during the installation of cPanel if the hostname does not resolve.
This is problematic for VPS/dedicated hosting providers. Our customers give us their preferred hostname, and we set it during install. The client can't set up DNS for this hostname until the server is provisioned, and they receive the IP address that has been assigned.
We (the hosting provider) then get tickets asking why their hostname was not set, how to reset it and what the "cprapid.com" domain is.
The only current way to disable this is to turn off free SSL for hosts, but this also turns off the free SSL's for hosts that do resolve properly.
This needs to be broken into two options:
- Disable cprapid.com sub-domains
- Disable free hostname SSL's
